At the draft last weekend the Los Angles Kings and Montreal Canadiens were talking about a potential Max Pacioretty trade. Reports were that a deal had been worked out but needed Pacioretty to agree to a contract extension.
An extension was included in the offer, and obviously, since he’s still with the Canadiens, it was rejected.
There has also been some talk that an extension offer may not have been given.
It was also rumored that the San Jose Sharks made an offer to the Canadiens for Pacioretty.
