The Montreal Canadiens opted to select overager Jared Davidson in the fifth round of the 2020 NHL Draft, and since then, he has performed well with the Seattle Thunderbirds in the WHL.
The 21-year-old played his entire WHL career with the Thunderbirds and eclipsed point-per-game totals (89 points in 64 games, and 82 points in 60 games) in each of his last two seasons. Davidson also performed well during the playoffs this year and last, compiling 24-28-52 totals through 44 post-season contests.
Selected as an overager, Davidson is somewhat of a late bloomer that has continued rounding out his game, in preparation for his professional career.
