Well, many of us got this wrong. It looked like the only reason why the Montreal Canadiens were continuing to scratch Jakub Jerabek was to showcase the likes of David Schlemko, Jordie Benn, or Joseph Morrow. Unfortunately, they haven’t been doing themselves any favours recently with their play, but with the Trade Deadline in five days, some kind of move could’ve happened leaving room for Jerabek to return. After the news of this trade, that isn’t the case.
The KHL free agent will be moving on to the Washington Capitals in exchange for a fifth-round pick in 2019.
