The Montreal Canadiens have entered the quietest time on the calendar. We continue the countdown of the five best coaches in Canadiens history with the number three ranked head coach, Dick Irvin.
From the 1940-41 season to the end of the 1954-55 campaign, Dick Irvin was at the helm of the Montreal Canadiens, coaching many of the greatest players in the team’s history. An NHL player before he started his coaching career, Irvin made a seamless transition from player to coach.
