The Montreal Canadiens announced that defencemen Kaiden Guhle and Gianni Fairbrother would be sent back to their Western Hockey League teams on Friday.
Both played in the Laval Rocket’s last two games. Fairbrother played an additional game, as Guhle was coming back from an injury. Fairbrother had an assist and was +2 in three games, while Guhle was pointless and even.
Guhle will be available to play for the Rocket tonight before he goes back to the Prince Albert Raiders, where he was named captain for the upcoming season. He was the team’s first round pick in the 2020 NHL Draft.
