The Montreal Canadiens will place Keith Kinkaid on waivers today according to multiple reports. Eric Engels was the first to report and has since been confirmed by TSN’s Bob McKenzie.
The goaltender made five starts for the Canadiens, going 1-1-3 with a 4.24 goals against average and a .874 save percentage. He was not on the ice for the team’s practice today.
It became clear that he did not have the confidence of Claude Julien, who only played him in back-to-back situations. His last start was Saturday afternoon against the Philadelphia Flyers.
