The Montreal Canadiens have signed defenceman Noah Juulsen to a one-year, two-way contract extension.
The deal will pay Juulsen $700,000 in the NHL and $125,000 in the AHL. He will require waivers to be sent to the American Hockey League this season. He was set to become a restricted free agent on Friday.
Juulsen has had a rough two seasons with injuries. His season was shut down in 2018-19 after three games in the AHL with the Laval Rocket, and injuries limited him to 13 games in the 2019-20 season.
