An hour ahead of the deadline for players to elect for Salary Arbitration, the Montreal Canadiens and Jacob de La Rose agreed to a new contract. The deal will see the 23-year-old make $900,000 for the next two season. It’s happy times for de La Rose who gets a $150,000 boost from his previous one-year deal.
The Swede made the team out of camp and played the entire year in the NHL. However, not all of it was on the ice as sometimes he was made a healthy scratch. His season total saw de La Rose play 55 games where he scored 4 goals and 8 assists.
