The Montreal Canadiens announced that they have sent down Karl Alzner to the Laval Rocket for Wednesday night’s game against the Belleville Senators.
The team also made clear that Alzner will then be recalled to travel with the team to Columbus for Friday’s game against the Blue Jackets. The team then returns home on Saturday to host the Philadelphia Flyers.
Alzner was a healthy scratch the last three games after playing against the St. Louis Blues on January 10. It was his only game since being recalled on December 26.
