The Montreal Canadiens added a future mainstay with the 16th overall pick in the 2020 NHL Draft.
The Montreal Canadiens were supposed to host the 2020 NHL Draft way back in June. They had to wait a few extra months to make their selection, but it became official when they selected Kaiden Guhle.
When the NHL season was paused, it looked like the Habs were going to end up with the 9th overall pick, but a surprising series victory over the Pittsburgh Penguins in the play-in round moved them back in the draft.
