The Montreal Canadiens training camp is well underway as they first joined together on Wednesday for medicals and medical exams before hitting the ice for the first time on Thursday.
There are 70 players on the training camp roster and they have been split into three groups to begin the process of picking the team.
Eventually, they will be whittled down to a roster of 23 who form the opening night roster and 20 of those players will suit up in game one of the regular season while three sit as healthy scratches.
We have a long way to go before that, and the next step will be today when the group hits the ice for the annual Red vs White Game.
