Montreal Canadiens recall Riley Barber from the AHL

The Montreal Canadiens have recalled Riley Barber from the AHL’s Laval Rocket.

After not getting a shot in the Washington Capitals organization, Montreal signed Barber in the off-season as a free agent, though he still had to begin his season in the AHL. He had a poor start with the Laval Rocket, but his game has really been coming along in recent weeks, becoming a major contributor on offence for the minor-league team.

With some injuries on the wing, the Canadiens had been turning to Charles Hudon to provide minutes in a replacement role.
