The Montreal Canadiens have continued to use their revolving door of defencemen. After Gustav Olofsson was sent down earlier today, Otto Leskinen was recalled by the team.
Leskinen is in his first professional season in North America but previously played in Liiga. The 24-year-old has one goal and 11 assists in 24 AHL games this season. He also has a team-high 39 penalty minutes. He has four assists on the power play.
The Finn is a mobile player who can add some offence but remains very solid defensively and most of his penalties came when he was still learning what he can and can’t get away with.
