With the season almost officially lost, the Montreal Canadiens don’t have much to play for in terms of the post-season. However, one thing they can do, besides making trades and other things that could better their performance at this year’s draft, is to give the young players in their system an opportunity to play. The decision to recall Nikita Scherbak may be the first of several we see between now and April.
The 22-year-old has been a lot more effective than his previous games after coming back from injury. He along with Adam Cracknell and Chris Terry has been Laval’s go-to offensive threats as far as forwards go.
