The Montreal Canadiens have announced they re-signed defenceman Mike Reilly. The Chicago native played 57 games with the Habs last season, scoring three goals, eight assists and 11 points.
The contract is a two year pact worth a total of $3 million. The cap hit for the next two seasons will therefore be $1.5 million.
Reilly was initially drafted by the Columbus Blue Jackets in the fourth round of the 2011 NHL Draft. Reilly had a great career in NCAA with the University of Minnesota. In his third season with the College program, he scored 42 points in 39 games and was a finalist for the famed Hobey Baker Award.
