The Montreal Canadiens have quickly built up one of the best groups of prospects in the National Hockey League. From drafting Ryan Poehling and Jesperi Kotkaniemi in the first round, to finding Cayden Primeau and Brett Stapley in the seventh round, the Habs have no problem picking potential NHL impact players at any point in the draft.
They found another exceptional player in the first round of last June’s draft. Cole Caufield fell to the middle of round one, and immediately became the Canadiens top prospect when the Habs selected him with the 15th overall pick.
