Today it was announced that the 24-year-old defenceman Michal Moravcik was placed on unconditional waivers for contract termination purposes.
Originally signed alongside David Sklenicka this summer, Moravcik was part of an overhaul at the AHL level, to bring in more talent to fill out the roster under Joel Bouchard.
For Moravcik this season was not the easiest adjustment, playing just 20 AHL games for the Laval Rocket, recording one goal and two assists. He also had previously been sent down to the Brampton Beast of the ECHL to get some ice time, and in four games he recorded two assists.
