Only one series in this year’s first round is going the distance, and ironically it involves to historical Montreal Canadiens rivals. The Toronto Maple Leafs have always provided solid hockey despite being a bottom-feeder team for the past decade whereas playoff series with Boston Bruins always end up as the most memorable. It’s been interesting to track which end of the spectrum Habs fans have decided to lean on.
The overall consensus is that the Leafs should be the team. However, Tomas Plekanec and the battle to come back from a 3-1 series deficit has swayed some of the folks in pseudo black and gold gear.
