The Montreal Canadiens officially announced the long-rumoured affiliation with the new ECHL expansion franchise in Trois-Rivières.

The Canadiens have come to an agreement on a three-year deal with the new hockey franchise in Trois-Rivières, making it the team’s official ECHL affiliate upon entry into the league for the 2021-22 season.#GoHabsGo https://t.co/tPrZPJ5UFE

The expansion team is scheduled to join the league for the 2021-22 season and becomes the first ECHL affiliation for the Canadiens since they parted ways with the Brampton Beast at the conclusion of the 2017-18 season.
