After nominating Antti Niemi for the Bill Masterton Award in March, the Montreal Canadiens chose to have Brendan Gallagher as their choice for the King Clancy Memorial Trophy. The award goes to the player who shows the greatest amount of leadership on and off the ice and who has made significant contributions to their community. The list goes on as to why Gallagher was the only player on the Habs this season to get the nod.
It starts with the numbers. Gallager had a career year leading the Montreal Canadiens in scoring with 31 goals and 23 assists in 82 games.
