The Montreal Canadiens have named Eric Raymond as the team’s goaltending coach.
Raymond was most recently with the New York Rangers organization, where he was the goaltending coach with the Hartford Wolfpack of the American Hockey League. He worked with Igor Shesterkin and Alexandar Georgiev among others.
The 49-year-old worked with Canadiens head coach Dominique Ducharme with the Halifax Mooseheads of the QMJHL when they won the Memorial Cup and was also on Team Canada’s staff with Ducharme.
“I worked closely with Éric for many years. Along with being an excellent communicator, he has a modern approach and emphasizes modern techniques.
