Going into this season, Montreal Canadiens fans were intrigued to see what Martin Reway could do. The 2013 4th round pick missed the entire season recovering from a heart illness, but there was hope that he could make up for time lost this year.
Obviously it wasn’t going to be an easy transition. Going from not playing at all to being in a professional league would take a lot of hard work. Back at the Rookie Tournament, the coaching staff made note of Reway’s conditioning as it was difficult for him to recover after a shift.
