The Montreal Canadiens will make some changes prior to their second game of the season in Pittsburgh as they take on the Penguins.
After a hard-fought loss against the Toronto Maple Leafs, Tomas Plekanec will once again be on the outside looking in, as the Canadiens made no changes to their forward lines. Nikita Scherbak is also going to sit out a second straight game. That means Matthew Peca, Andrew Shaw, and Charles Hudon will get another look.
It’s another chance for Jesperi Kotkaniemi to prove his worth against the Penguins, another team with as deep a centre group as the Maple Leafs in the second game of nine before the Canadiens will be forced to make a decision.
