Although the Montreal Canadiens do not have their own ECHL affiliates this season, they’ve been making do with loaning their players to other organizations. Both Phèlix Martineau and Morgan Adams-Moisan were signed to AHL contracts over the offseason in hopes of getting their professional careers off to a good start.
Martineau had already spent some time in the ECHL last season playing three games for the Fort Wayne Komets, and unfortunately, with all the skilled forwards on the Laval Rocket this year, he’d get the same number of games before being sent down. The 21-year-old returned to the Komets putting up 8 goals and 6 assists for 14 points in 13 games.
