It’s really unfortunate that these kinds of things have to keep happening, especially at a prospect tournament. The Montreal Canadiens were looking to have a better performance after getting blanked 4-0 at the hands of the Ottawa Senators on Friday night. Unfortunately, the start to this game didn’t go as planned for many reasons.
The Leafs capitalized on a pair of power play opportunities grabbing an early 2-0 lead. Then things turned to the dangerous end after a play in the Habs end led to 2017 fifth-round pick Jarret Tyszka being stretchered off the ice.
Tyszka was heading into the corner after the puck and had Leafs player Hudson Elynuik on his heels.
