Montreal Canadiens: It Might’ve Been Better to Play Michael McCarron

It’s a bummer that Jonathan Drouin will not be playing for the Montreal Canadiens against the Toronto Maple Leafs. His only test at center so far has been against Nico Hischier in the New Jersey Devils game. Drouin had a decent performance that night, but looked even better on the power play.

Instead of Drouin, Torrey Mitchell will be playing with Max Pacioretty and Brendan Gallagher. Obviously on paper that is a massive downgrade. However Mitchell is responsible enough that Claude Julien would trust him playing that high in the line-up.
