It’s going to be a guessing game as to whether the Montreal Canadiens will have Paul Byron in the lineup Thursday against the Washington Capitals. The 29-year-old left the game in the second half of the middle frame and didn’t return for the rest of it. Byron remained in the dressing room as the Habs announced that he was suffering from a lower-body injury.
Having Byron out of the lineup is a subtraction from the team’s top-nine as well as their penalty kill. However, it would give an opportunity for Charles Hudon to get more minutes.
