The way the average hockey fan reacts to a trade is pretty common. First, an initial response which is either positive or negative (no surprise). Afterwards comes the frantic search for what the new player can do which involves several trips to hockeydb or hockey-reference. When the Montreal Canadiens made the Friday night trade to acquire Max Domi from the Arizona Coyotes, those two sites were probably the most active at the time.
