The Montreal Canadiens made their second trade impacting the American Hockey League today, acquiring Kyle Baun from the Chicago Blackhawks for Andreas Martinsen.
Baun is 25 years old, 6’2 and 209 lbs. He has played five NHL games with no points. Last year, in 74 AHL games in Rockford he had 14 goals and 20 assists for 34 points, which was second on the team.
He was born in Toronto. Baun is the grandson of former NHL player Bobby Baun, who famously scored a game-winning goal in overtime on a broken ankle.
