There have been two point streaks that have garnered the attention among fans in the NHL, and both were at risk of being ended in the last two days. The first being Mike Hoffman of the Florida Panthers followed by our very own Max Domi of the Montreal Canadiens.
Hoffman was running on a 15-game point streak and almost had it expire as the Panthers were on their way to a 6-5 victory over the Ottawa Senators. But in the final two minutes of the game, the former Senator was sprung on a breakaway beating Mike McKenna for his ninth goal of the season.
