The Montreal Canadiens and defenceman Mark Streit have agreed on a one-year contract for the upcoming season.

Streit began his career in Montreal after being drafted by the Canadiens in 2004. Since then he’s had stops with the New York Islanders, Philadelphia Flyers, and most recently claiming the Stanley Cup with the Pittsburgh Penguins.
