Les Canadiennes have secured their first series win in China after winning the second of three games 5-1 on Friday morning in Shenzhen against the KRS Vanke Rays.
Ann-Sophie Bettez had two more goals and now has five goals in the two games in China. Marie-Philip Poulin and Kim Deschênes each had a goal and an assist in the win, and Sarah Lefort had two assists.
Emerance Maschmeyer again was solid in net, allowing only one goal. Noora Räty was pulled from the game after allowing Montreal’s fifth goal. Räty was 3-0 last year against Montreal.
Bettez opened the scoring for the Canadiennes in the first period as she converted the perfect pass from Poulin.
