Les Canadiennes de Montreal were shut out for the first time this season as the Brampton Thunder and Erica Howe put together a stellar game to defeat Montreal 4-0.
Brampton continued their home winning streak and are now 5-0 at home this season. Montreal had swept the season opening series at home in the first two meetings between the two teams.
The Thunder now have a four point lead over Les Canadiennes for second place but Montreal has four games in hand.
Sydney Aveson got her second start of the season for Montreal as news came out that Charline Labonté would miss both of this weekend's games with a lower body injury.
