Nathanael Halbert’s first professional contract came the morning of his AHL debut. He signed the morning of the game when Gustav Olofsson fell ill before a game against the Manitoba Moose.
Halbert’s season with the McGill Hockey club had just come to an end, and he ended up playing five games with the Laval Rocket, earning one assist.
He turned that brief time into a one-year, two-way contract with the Rocket for the 2020-21 season.
The contract is a two-way contract which allows the team to send him to the ECHL, meaning he is mostly a depth piece.
