After the news that veteran defender Karl Alzner was placed on waivers, today he cleared waivers and will be assigned to the AHL’s Laval Rocket.

With Brett Kulak still on recall, and Gustav Olofsson likely out for the year, the Rocket have been lacking a consistent piece on the left side of their defence.
