Let’s all say it together, “Finally.” The Montreal Canadiens found a potential gem in the seventh-round of the 2014 draft in Jake Evans and his contract with the organization was a long-awaited thing. Evans saw his senior year at the University of Notre Dame come to an end after the Fighting Irish lost to the University of Minnesota Duluth in the finals of the Frozen Four over the weekend. It was a rough defeat for him as team captain, but now he gets to start a new professional career in the Habs organization.
The Toronto native finished the season with 13 goals and 33 assists in 40 games.
