It was an eventful day for the birthday boy. The Habs have announced that rookie forward Jacob de la Rose underwent successful wrist surgery today.
Jacob de la Rose underwent wrist surgery earlier today at Montreal General Hospital. His recovery is expected to be three months.

The three month timeline puts him at an early September recovery, which means he should be ready to go for training camp.
The 2013 second-round draft pick started the season with the Hamilton Bulldogs in the AHL, producing six goals and 5 assists in 37 games.
