Guillaume LeFrançois of La Presse posted an article on Monday morning updating the status of Nikita Scherbak and Jacob de la Rose, both sidelined with injuries with the American Hockey League's St. John's IceCaps. It was a welcome update, because it shed a light on the status of these two top Montreal Canadiens prospects.
The concern with Scherbak was that he sustained a concussion after a brutal hit by Toronto Marlies defenceman Viktor Loov on November 13th. But the injury has been clarified as a re-occuring ankle injury that has followed Scherbak since training camp.
