After a long stretch without a goal, the behemoth rookie forward has started another hot streak. McCarron registered his 15th goal of the year in a game against the Syracuse Crunch, and also had the game-winning shootout goal to cap off an outstanding performance. He added an assist in a 2-1 loss to the Binghamton Senators, as well.
Perhaps more impressive than McCarron's production was his ability to draw the attention of opposing players, opening up multiple chances for his linemates.
With 34 points, McCarron sits eighth overall in the AHL's rookie scoring race; 10 points behind leader Mikko Rantanen.
