It's been a rough sophomore season for the young Swede. After breaking into the NHL last season de la Rose struggled to find his game with the IceCaps. Before suffering an injury, he had only posted a pair of assists on the season while plying with Gabriel Dumont and Nikita Scherbak.
Finally healthy, de la Rose returned to the lineup and provided a much needed offensive boost. He opened the scoring in the first of two games against the Rochester Americans on Friday night in a 3-1 loss and chipped in an assist in a 3-2 overtime loss the following night.
