The St. John’s IceCaps squared off with a struggling divisional rival, the Binghamton Senators, on Friday night for the first of back-to-back games.
Yann Danis got the start for St. John’s, in place of the recently recalled Charlie Lindgren. Unfortunately for the IceCaps, Danis was shaky at best on the night.
Chris Terry opened the scoring for the home side. His team-leading 26th goal of the season came on the power play as he rifled a shot from the left circle, beating Matt O’Connor over the shoulder.
Later in the period, while chasing a puck in the corner, Daniel Carr tripped, and was then hit by Charles-David Beaudoin in the head.
