Andrei Markov scored the first goal of the Canadiens-Senators series on Wednesday night in Montreal. Unfortunately, it was for the wrong team.
After a first period dump-in bounced off the boards behind the Habs' net and trickled in front of Price, Markov appeared to attempt to play the puck into his goaltender for a stoppage. Unfortunately for the Canadiens, the puck wound up traveling through the netminder and into the back of the net for an own goal and a Senators 1-0 lead early.
I'm no expert, but I don't think that's really the way you want to start a series.
