The big forward was close to getting his first goal of the KHL season when he battled hard in front of the net, but his teammate got the puck in net. Khisamutdinov got his second assist of the KHL season, and the more I watch The Firestarter, the more I come to appreciate him.
He skates well for a big guy and he has some great hands and hockey IQ to make things happen. He seems to be earning more of his coach’s trust as well, as he got an average of 12 minutes of time over the three games played last week.
