The Montreal Canadiens announced the recall of right winger George "Bud" Holloway on Sunday morning to replace injured forward Devante Smith-Pelly who suffered a lower body injury against the Islanders on Friday night.
Holloway currently leads the IceCaps in scoring with five goals and 15 assists in 18 games.
Bud Holloway was signed over the summer as a free agent to a one-year two-way contract by General Manager Marc Bergevin after spending the past four seasons playing in Europe (three years in Sweden, one year in Switzerland). The 6'0" forward was drafted by the Los Angeles Kings in the third round in 2006, but chose to play in Europe rather than stay in the AHL.
