Daniel Carr scored twice as the Laval Rocket snapped a three-game losing streak in a 3-2 victory over the Toronto Marlies at the Ricoh Coliseum Saturday evening.
Charlie Lindgren had a productive day for Laval making 26 saves on 28 shots in the victory, including 19 through two periods. Conversely, the normally dangerous Rocket offence only had 12 shots through two, but had 10 shots in the final frame.
It wasn't all great for Laval, however. The Rocket took seven penalties and allowed a power play goal, continuing their run of indiscipline. Laval has been shorthanded on 54 instances this season, but now have the league's fourth-worst penalty kill at 79.
