It was probably closer than Les Canadiennes would have hoped, but a 3-0 win over the Boston Blades secured their seventh straight win and moved them into sole possession of second place. They are now two points behind first place Calgary with two games in hand.
Montreal opened the scoring in the first period when Caroline Ouellette fired a slap shot past Blades goaltender Geneviève Lacasse. It was Ouellette's eighth goal of the season. Marie-Philip Poulin had the assist on a pretty drop pass.

Montreal outshot the Blades 59-16 in the game but only had a 1-0 lead going into the third period despite a 38-13 shot advantage after 40 minutes.
