Les Canadiennes have a new captain, and new hopes for a return to the Clarkson Cup for a third straight year after two straight losses in the final. The core of their returns and should be in place as they take on the Brampton Thunder (0-1-1) in Brampton this weekend.
The last time these two teams played it was a frenzied, playoff atmosphere with physicality and great hockey. Montreal scored two goals in the final minutes and won in a shootout in the first game, and the second game was a hard fought 5-2 win.
Montreal won five of the six games they played but this year Brampton comes in with the goal of making the Clarkson Cup final that just eluded them.
