CWHL: Getting to know Les Canadiennes opposition

After three consecutive Clarkson Cup appearances, including a victory in 2015, the young Boston Blades suffered a difficult 2015-16 campaign, leaving the season with a single win in 24 games.

With only five of the Cup winning champions returning to Boston’s freshly drafted roster, as well as the hiring of new general manager Krista Patronick and head coach Brian McCloskey, the Blades entered the 2015-16 season looking to prove they had staying power despite their rebuild status.

Kicking things off with a split against the Toronto Furies, though not altogether commanding, the Blades still could hardly have anticipated that the second game of the season would award them with their lone win of the year.
