Xavier Simoneau and William Trudeau’s Islanders put up a good fight despite the 4-1 defeat, climbing back from multi-goal leads, winning 7-0 in Game 4, and clawing away at the best one-two punch in the league in Dallas’ Mavrik Bourque and Edmonton’s Xavier Bourgault to try and neutralize them.
