Something has clicked in the Montreal Canadiens lineup, and they don’t seem like they’re going to slow down anytime soon.
After a start to the season where the offence has been sputtering, despite putting up high shot totals and positive possession numbers, the goals have come in waves for the Canadiens recently. A 5-1 win over the Panthers, another 5-4 win against the Rangers, and most recently, a 8-3 victory over the Ottawa Senators. Those games were interrupted by a shutout loss to the Los Angeles Kings.
Players such as Charles Hudon and Artturi Lehkonen were finally rewarded for their strong play this season, as they both had two-goal games, and added secondary scoring the Canadiens craved.
